I have been attending to life issues for the past few years. Just dropping back in with my old friends on this site.
This painting consists of 3 panels stacked one on the other. All the canvases were gessoed black and prepped with Liquid Clear. While the flowers are very basic, I wanted added "pop" in the the copper pot. Using a light Cyan for the background glow and reflected light contrasts well with the Burnt Sienna and Cadmium Orange tints.
As always, an intense highlight leads the viewer's eye into the painting. Happy painting!
WOOOOOOOW!!!! So pretty! Great job!! How hard is it to paint flowers?
Thank you Lilkins, Good to be back.
Thanks Ninoum for the nice compliment. While I am a Certified Bob Ross Landscape and Wildlife painter, I never had the chance to get my Floral Certificate. When painting flowers I try to paint what I see and interpret that into a harmonious color palette.
Beautiful and the vase is gorgeous
